Words from "Goldie"
I first started to rap with the older guys who I once hung with. They was feeling a lil nigga cause I’m from the same hood spitting real shit that I was doing not making up. All I can rap about is my life and what goes on in the hood. Don’t get it twisted I’m versatile with shit. I can rap about some thug shit, send a message to the youth, something for ladies, even some club shit. It all depends on what type of mood I’m in at the time.
I recorded my first song (Change Ya Wayz) wit my Uncle Steve AKA Imperator in my aunt’s basement. That shit was fun I was finally recording something, it took me like 3 days to write it, but it’s all real. We even did a freestyle session with Slim which was ok.
What makes my music different is "I’m not ya average 18 year old". Coming out of East Baltimore. Where niggas dying like flies. I feel like I don’t have a choice but to get a job or try to make it rapping. Plus I seen and done a lot of robbing, shooting and selling drugs. None of it’s new it’s my point of view in my words.
I’ve been locked up – not long but I learnt my lesson so now it’s time for a change. I define my style as more street then other young rappers. I've been rapping for like two or three years if I’m right. Really at first I wanted to become a DJ or the nigga that make beats.
My trip to Cali was great it was my first time being in the vocal booth, fun but it can get hot as hell in there. I did ten tracks with the help of my Uncle Imp and Lil Imp my cousin he's fifteen and knows more about the business then me, and some cats that are already in the game.
